A visit and demonstration by the Ukulele Group from Heaton Mersey and Reddish u3a left us so enthused that many members signed up for our new group on the spot. At our first session, after an hour of tuning, plucking and strumming most of us could tell our left hand from our right and count to 4.

Following the Covid hiatus our numbers are sadly reduced. There is currently a core of 7 or 8 players who meet at St James' Church Hall at 2:00 on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month.

We have given regular performances at our u3a Christmas events, and public performances in the local area, most recently for the Bethany Church Oasis Group . We now play a wide variety of tunes to a reasonably high standard.

We would welcome new members and I can arrange additional help for beginners. Just contact me on 312 5072
